Hypocrisy is manifested in those that fight against steroid use in sports

It is known that anabolic steroids are frequently demonized. If an athlete or a bodybuilder uses steroids and/or other doping products, he/she is claimed to be a cheater. Sportswriters report about such individuals as about those who have spoiled their reputation. Anti-doping agencies put great efforts and spend money in other to determine whether certain athletes have doped. Even the government wastes taxpayers’ funds and time in order to prove that certain sportspersons have taken steroids and/or performance-enhancing drugs. It is stated that those who dope take unfair advantages in sports.
Numerous pieces of news describe the fight against steroids. But let think whether arguments against intake of steroids are strong enough to prove that it is disgraceful to take them.
It is stated that steroid-using athletes serve as a bad example for kids and young people. It is known that youth sees many sports stars that use steroids and other related preparations. As a result, young individuals desire to look and be as strong, as these prominent sports figures.  Furthermore, it is widely disputed about health risks linked with steroids. But if you are attentive, you can notice that these arguments are weak because hypocrisy reigns here.
Let examine the most spread arguments against intake of anabolic steroids and/or other related medicines.
According to the first argument, application of steroids is closely associated with some potential health risks. Many articles warn about testicular atrophy and enlarged heart which may occur on account of steroid use. However it may be true, let analyze our life. We consume unhealthy food, however we know that it destroys our health. Certain individuals administer antidepressants that are also quite dangerous. We do also other unhealthy things.
According to another argument against steroids, steroid-using sportspersons have unfair advantages in competitions. They win because they increase performance with these preparations. Let pay attention what happens in other fields, for example, in the world of entertainment.  Many actors and actresses improve their appearances and performances in order to play some roles in movies. They also take unfair advantages over others with the help of several surgeries and other things. But they are not sentenced to bans.
While it is stated that steroid-using sportspersons send bad messages to young people that desire to look like them and follow their examples, no one notices about the bad example of actors and actresses. Young girls also want to look like those they see in magazines.
While federal prosecutors pursue sportspeople that apply steroids, they have nothing to do with actors and actresses who act like steroid-using athletes.
It is clear that arguments against application of steroids are very weak. They display hypocrisy which reigns in our fake world.
