Norwegian police officers busted large doping ring


Norwegian police have busted a huge doping ring. More than 10 individuals connected with illegal actions were arrested. Six persons were sentenced to jail.
According to statements of the newspaper Dagens N?ringsliv (DN), the doping ring was set in Trondheim. DN published own investigation related to illegal sale of anabolic steroids in Norway. Police investigated the case.
It is believed that a secret center is in Trondheim. It administrates illegal distribution of performance-enhancing drugs and money laundering.
The arrested persons were linked with bodybuilding, fitness and health industries in Norway. Certain individuals were arrested at their homes; others – in business offices, car lots and tram stops.
Investigators suggest that several individuals are hidden by the names of Guru and Karma.
Robert Eilertsen is one of those who have been arrested. He is a manager and editor of a fitness blog. He coached celebrated sportspeople within football, boxing, handball, etc.
It is supposed that Eilertsen and several other individuals have provided dangerous doping drugs to Norwegian youth during some years.
About 60 police officers were involved in raids. The raids resulted in 11 arrests.
Since the investigation is not finished yet, police officers don’t announce about their further actions.
Norwegian customs officers and tax authorities were also involved in the investigation.
Many computers and several documents were seized during raids of homes, business officers, cars, etc.
Eilertsen and Gunnar Strand Jacobsen, another arrested individual, have denied their connections with doping preparations. Jacobsen is the owner of Kaliber Gym in Trondheim, one of the most famous gyms in Norway. Jacobsen was personal trainer of sportspeople who got prizes. He coached athletes who attended to different sports. He is considered to be an experienced nutrition expert.
The raid was called “Operation Gilde”.
Eilertsen and Jacobsen are accused in sale of doping medications and money laundering.

Illegal sale of steroids and sex stimulants is hidden by legal business


Spain’s police arrested Scott Boote, a man, who was implicated in illicit operations related to a multinational drug ring manufacturing stimulants that increase sexual desire. Huge quantities of medications were confiscated by police. The street value of the medications was estimated. It was reported that it was almost ?3 million. A citizen of the UK, a 72-year-old person from Liverpool, was also questioned. According to statements of police officers, these two persons produced 8 new sexual stimulants and sold them via internet without examining patients. Six other persons were also questioned during this investigation. Investigators noted that the individuals who were implicated in this illicit drug ring bought cars and another property due to sale of illicit sexual products. Some bank accounts were blocked by police officers. Over 100,000 dosages of anabolic steroids, properties and cars were confiscated.
A spokesperson for Spanish police claimed that all members of the drug ring lived quite luxuriously. They have many properties and luxury cars. They purchased properties abroad in order to hide the illegal business. Investigators determined that the ring sold sexual medications for both men and women. The preparations were advertised on internet. Persons from around the world could buy the preparations. Thus, people from the USA, the UK, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. were customers who obtained drugs from this ring. Three factories functioned in Costa del Sol. Police officers suppose that those that were producing the preparations didn’t possess proper knowledge for this purpose. According to them, the individuals that were implicated in the drug ring created also legal business in order to hide the illegal one. They put efforts to provide legitimate appearance to illegal actions. Several commercial companies were managed by these persons in order to mask the profits obtained due to illegal sale of sex stimulants.
Boxes that had to be sent to customers were also found by police. Anabolic steroids were also found and seized by police officers. The arrested persons also possessed packages, labels and leaflets.
